Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 is now offering after school enrichment programs for grades K-6th.
Afterschool Enrichment will be Monday through Thursday. Kids meet at Primary and Elementary Playgrounds at 2:50 p.m.
Parent/Caregiver picks up at 5:00 p.m. from Blaine Elementary School covered area.
The Blaine-Birch Bay activity center would like to offer an after school enrichment program focusing on providing a healthy and safe environment for all children. The enrichment program will work together, using STEM projects and social emotional learning, to improve academic performance for participating students. Helping students cultivate essential life skills by creating an environment fostering continued commitment to learning and community involvement.
Mondays: Music
Musical Mondays will have music based activities to help develop techniques supporting academic learning, self regulation, cognitive and intellectual development.
Tuesday: Story Telling
Using a highly motivated atmosphere of story telling and active participation we will drive creativity and cooperation between children.
Wednesday: The World that surrounds us
Engage, explore and explain, elaborate and evaluate. Learners must be engaged and motivated in their learning experience including understanding why they are learning these particular topics and connecting them to their educational content.
Thursday: Science
Learn to use science and education on a daily basis to help teach and interpret the world around us.
