The Kids Makers Market will take place June 20–21 during the annual Kite Festival at Birch Bay State Park. Hosted at the Heron Center, the market will run from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM each day.
This event is designed for kids ages 8–16 to sell handmade items they have created in a real market-style setting. Young makers will gain hands-on experience setting up a booth, interacting with customers, pricing their products, and earning money from their work. All in a supportive, family-friendly environment.
The cost to participate is $10 per child.
As part of the participation fee, all vendors have the opportunity to attend a financial education class on June 15 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, hosted by
Banner Bank. This class will introduce students to basic banking and money management skills, including saving money, spending wisely, and managing earnings from their market sales.
The Kids Makers Market is a fun and educational opportunity that encourages creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurship while engaging with the larger Kite Festival community.
