Celebrate National LEGO Day with a creative competition where builders ages 5–18 can show off their skills! Build a habitat for your favorite animal or imagine life on a whole new planet! Prizes awarded for creativity, design, and originality.

Judging Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Blaine Community Center
Cost: $3 per participant
LEGO bricks available or bring your own!
Age Brackets:
Ages 5–7
Ages 8–10
Ages 11–13
Ages 14–18
Judging Criteria
Each build will be scored out of 50 points total, across five categories:
1. Creativity & Originality (10 points)
- Is the idea unique or imaginative?
- Does it show personal flair or unexpected elements?
2. Theme Interpretation (10 points)
- Does the build clearly reflect the challenge theme (e.g., animal habitat or alien planet)?
- Is the concept easy to understand and well-executed?
3. Design & Construction (10 points)
- Is the build structurally sound and thoughtfully assembled?
- Are pieces used in clever or innovative ways?
4. Detail & Complexity (10 points)
- Are there small details that enhance the build?
- Does the build show effort and depth?
5. Presentation & Storytelling (10 points)
- Can the builder explain their creation clearly and confidently?
- Does the story behind the build add meaning or fun?
