Splash Days
Kick off the summer with Splash Days, hosted by Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 and the City of Blaine!
On July 18 and Aug. 1 (rescheduled from June 20 due to inclement weather), we’re shutting down the street and turning up the water for a day of sprinklers, splash zones, and summer activities.
Event Highlights:
- Run through sprinklers, splash around, and enjoy water-filled activities.
- Hot dogs and refreshments will be available for sale.
- Cool off with tasty treats.
- Just bring yourself—be ready to get wet!

Movie in the Park (Blaine)
Join us for a brand-new summer event—Movie in the Park at Blaine Marine Park. On Friday, Aug. 1 (rescheduled from June 20 due to inclement weather), bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and loved ones for an outdoor movie experience under the stars.

WECU's Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day at WECU’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July in BlaineGet ready for a star-spangled celebration! WECU’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July is back for 2025!Taking place all day in the heart of downtown Blaine, this community celebration is packed with activities for all ages—including a parade, car show, kid zone, live music, fireworks, and more.Event Highlights Include:
- Pancake Breakfast (8 a.m.–11 a.m.) at the Blaine Community Center – hosted by Blaine-Birch Bay Park & Recreation District 2 (BBBPRD2)
- Street Fair begins at 10 a.m. on H and 3rd Streets with over 100 vendors.
- Parade kicks off at noon, preceded by a special performance of the national anthem by Grace Machado at 11:45 a.m.
- Red, White and Vrooom Car Show with judging starting at 11 a.m., and winners announced at 1 p.m.
- Kid Zone (1 p.m.–5 p.m.) – featuring a DJ, dunk tank, and lawn games, hosted by BBBPRD2
- Beer Garden & Live Music (5 p.m.–10 p.m.) located next to and hosted by Bordertown Pizza
- 5 p.m. – Shannanagins
- 7 p.m. – Queen’s Bluegrass
- [TBA] – Additional band to be announced
- Fireworks Spectacular – 10:30 p.m. over the harbor
This event is free to attend and offers something for everyone: whether you're starting the day with a plate of pancakes, enjoying the parade, dancing to live music, or enjoying the fireworks show under the stars. Please Note:Attendees should expect road closures in the downtown Blaine area throughout the day. Plan ahead for parking and access.
