Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program
Ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? Our CIT program is a group-based training experience for teens who want to learn, grow, and make an impact. CITs work together, support each other, and train alongside our camp staff to gain real-world skills while still enjoying the fun of camp.
This isn’t just shadowing, it’s active, hands-on training that prepares you for future roles as a counselor and beyond. You’ll learn how to lead activities, communicate effectively, and build confidence, all while forming friendships and being part of a team.

Eligibility:
- Ages 13–15
- Enjoy working with children and being outdoors
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Want to learn or build leadership skills
Application Process:
- Parents/guardians register their teen for the desired session
- Registration does not guarantee acceptance into the program
- Acceptance is based on:
- Completed application form (must be written by the teen)
- Short interview to assess readiness and enthusiasm
- Important: Applications must be original. Plagiarism or AI-generated responses will not be accepted.

Registration & Application Timeline
- Application Period: March 10, 2026 – April 17, 2026
- Deadline: All applications must be submitted by Friday, April 17th at 5:00 PM via email to camille@bbbprd2.com
- Interview Scheduling: Families will be contacted by Tuesday, April 21st to arrange an interview time for their teen.
Schedule:
- Commitment: 4 days per week for 3 weeks
- Session 1: June 29 - July 16
- Session 2: July 26 - August 6
- Daily hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- CITs will rotate through assignments to experience different camp activities and participate in dedicated group training sessions focused on leadership, teamwork, and counselor skills
Acceptance & Payment Details
- Program Cost: $300 per session (3 weeks), which equals $100 per week.
- Deposit: If your teen is accepted into the CIT program, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure their spot.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining $250 is due two weeks before the start of camp.
