Adult Golf Programs
Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 is excited to partner with Birch Bay Village Golf Club to offer golf lessons to the community!
Session 1: Introduction to Golf
When: Tuesday's, June 30th to July 28th
Time: 3:30 - 5:30 PM
Location: Birch Bay Village Golf Course
Price: $90
Lessons start on the putting green with the fundamentals of setup, stance, posture, grip, ball position, alignment, backswing, forward swing, and distance control, for putting, chipping, and pitching. No prior experience required.
Attendees can bring their own clubs or borrow clubs from the Pro Shop. They also receive the booklet, Introduction to Golf at Birch Bay Village, which covers what BBVCC has to offer for beginners and seasoned golfers. *After the lessons they are welcome to play on the BBV Short Course, (holes 4, 5, 8, 9) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for a $12 greens fee, starting at 5pm.

Session 2: How to Play on the Course
When: Monday's, August 3rd to August 31st
Time: 3:30 - 5:30 PM
Location: Birch Bay Village Golf Course
Price: $90
After learning how to putt, chip, and pitch, beginners are generally not inclined or ready to go to a course and play. This second program (How to Play on the Course) will prepare you to play on a regular course.
You will be taken to Birch Bay Village’s range area to work on accuracy and distance control by hitting to various targets. You will get acclimated to the course, basic rules and etiquette, and then will play in scramble games with other students. (This is where the fun starts!)
After the lessons students are welcome to pass a multiple-choice written test, skills ability test, and sign the course agreement to abide by the rules, that all golfers must agree to.
